How Do PDF eBooks and ePlans Downloads Work?
All of our Toy Plans are Royalty Free! See item #7 for details.

  1. What is a PDF eBook and ePlan digital PDF download file?
Our eBooks and PDF ePlans downloads can be easily and instantly downloaded to your computer in the convenient Adobe PDF format. All our downloadable plans are 8-1/2" x 11" pages easily printed to your computer printer. The Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format created by Adobe Systems for document exchange. PDF's are files that are readable in Adobe Reader through a free download from Adobe Systems:
If you're downloading the PDF files to your iPhone, iPad, Android devices or Windows Phone you can download the free Adobe Reader app here:
When viewing our eBooks and ePlans in Adobe Reader we recommend viewing the pages "two up": Go to View in your Reader menu bar and select View/Page Display/Two-Up Continuous/Show Cover Page During Two-Up.
  2. Is an eBook Reader such as the Amazon Kindle or the Barnes & Noble Nook required to open, read and print eBooks and ePlans?
No. All you need to open, read and print our ePlans and eBooks is the free Adobe Reader software installed on your computer (Adobe Reader Version 5 or later). Adobe Reader is usually already on your computer, but if not please see #1 for how to install the free Adobe Reader app.
  3. How will I receive a PDF eBook or ePlan download that I purchase?
You will purchase the PDF eBook or ePlan as you would any product on the internet, through a shopping cart. You will be asked to fill out a form which includes your email address. After you submit your credit card or Pay Pal account information you will receive a link to your PDF download:
      - You can download the PDF eBook or ePlan file immediately from the webpage that is displayed after completing your order OR you can access the PDF eBook or ePlan through a link in an email that is also sent to you immediately after you complete your order.
      - NOTE: For security purposes the PDF eBook or ePlan download link expires after 48 hours or 4 download attempts, whichever comes first. If for any reason you need a new download link send us an email at and we'll be happy to send you a new download link.
  4. How do I save a PDF eBook or ePlan download file to my computer desktop?
Save the PDF eBook or ePlan file to your desktop by selecting "Save" in the file download dialog box when you click on the PDF download link. If you open the file and did not click "Save", you can still save the file to your desktop by selecting "File/Save As" in Acrobat Reader. NOTE: You'll want to save the PDF file so you can open it and print pattern pages as often as you'd like!
  5. Should I print all the pages?
In our PDF ePlans we include several full-color photos of the completed toy from different angles so you'll have lots of reference information when building. Although some customers like to print the entire plan set we recommend that you print only the black and white precision line pattern drawings to conserve printing ink. If you own an Apple iPad or Android Tablet you can also keep the PDF file on your tablet to access the assembly steps and the full color photos when in your shop. Your saved PDF file makes it convenient to reprint pattern pages whenever needed.
  6. Are all your PDF ePlans full-size with full-size patterns?
YES! Even toys that require patterns larger than what is printable on 8-1/2" x 11" paper have full-size patterns. For large toys the patterns are made up of a convenient set of 8-1/2" x 11" printable pages that are quickly taped together by matching super easy to align arrows on each page. It's really fun and easy to assemble a larger pattern.
  7. Will I be required to pay royalty fees on the toys I build from your toy plans?
NO! You can build as many of the toys as you like. There are no restrictions on how many toys you can build. We completely support toymakers who are interested in making toys to sell. There are no royalty fees on any of our plans and you can make and sell as many of the toys as you like anywhere in the world.
PLEASE NOTE: The toy plan sets are for the exclusive use of the original buyer. The buyer can print as many copies of the patterns for sawing and shaping that are required for any amount of production by the buyer. Do not share the plan sets with others for their personal use. It is a crime and will be prosecuted. The toy plans are copyrighted and the copyright is strictly enforced. Any infringement is investigated by the FBI. Convictions are up to 5 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000. An infringement is to sell, offer free, share or post any plan set.
  8. I still have questions, who can I contact?
Please send us an email at We're happy to help walk you through the steps.
