Jim Davis of Greenville, Michigan is the owner of JD's Wood Crafts and Photography. Jim is always busy building toys that he sells at crafts fairs across the country. His fantastic attention to detail is nothing short of toymaking as fine art.
Jim tells ToymakingPlans.com: "My wife Jackie and I both came from the auto industry here in Michigan a few years back. Everything started with me getting a camera and taking pictures and I started to sell them. I got tired of the store bought frames and decided to start making my own, so I set up a little shop out in our barn and started making them.
Then we began doing art and craft shows with my photography and frames. This went on for about a year and this past fall I found your website and started to order patterns from you and building these great toys for the grand kids. They really liked them so I decided to add them to my product line for the art and craft shows.
As this past year has progressed the toy line has taken on a life of its own and is still growing. Returning customers and their children really love the great designed and built toys. My plans are to continue to get your patterns and if someone sees one of your toys that I haven’t made yet I will get the patterns and build it for them."
