He keeps himself very busy building toys in his well equipped woodshop. Joel sent ToymakingPlans.com several of his family photos along with his wood toy photos. In Joel's words:
"I want to explain to you that this family gatherings is our Brasilian way. We in South America like very much to get the family together for a barbecue on Sundays or just to talk eat and drink something. We don't mind showing that and we love to meet."

In Joel's words, "I'm married for second time and I have a lovely wife. I have two sons from first marriage, the first-born is married and have two daughters (These two girls are my treasure). I have a brother and a sister, both married. So, I have nephews and nieces.
I've started making some woodwork from many years ago. I make something as craftsman, some furniture and toys, my preference is to make toys. I have a good shop with some machines and tools. Of course I'm always increasing it.
Everything I know in woodworking I learned by myself reading books and magazines. We never stop learning. Most toys I made since I started I gave as gift to children. But now that I'm retired I intend to get some profit on them. The toys from ToymakingPlans.com will be very helpful to my ideas."

It's about 20 Km (12.5 Miles) from their house in another city called Pirassununga (Pirassununga means "fish noise" in Brasilian Indians language). As Joel explains "When the fish raise the river to spawn in the proper time, they make some noise". Joel and Déia like to go there since there are good restaurants to eat fish.
