Ernie was really excited when he wrote ToymakingPlans.com about his recent experience building the Noah's Animal Cracker Ark.
Ernie tells ToymakingPlans.com: It was amazing building this project, using pieces of scrap wood. The wood I used was scrap plywood for the Ark I then used the scrap cut-offs of wood from a fence I had put around my property in the summer to build the animals. I gave this as a Christmas present to my 6 year old granddaughter. She simply loves it and has found endless hours of fun with the animals because of their size. This was a perfect gift. I am looking forward to building The Toy Dragons, Knights and Fair Maidens for my 4 year old grandson's birthday.

Ernie's experience with wood working helps him take risks that have beautiful results. By using found wood that exposes the pronounced wood grain he really enhanced the folk art quality of this beautifully crafted handmade toy.
